Study Finds Multidisciplinary Pediatric AD Clinic Beneficial

A clinic called the Multidisciplinary Atopic Dermatitis Program (MADP) was established to provide comprehensive care for patients with severe atopic dermatitis (AD) by involving a team of clinicians from different disciplines such as dermatologists, allergists, and clinical pharmacists. The clinic aims to assess the severity of the disease, educate patients and families, and create a care plan using shared decision-making. Results from a single-center study showed that patients who participated in the MADP experienced significant improvements in AD severity. The study demonstrated that collaborative and holistic assessments of healthcare lead to better patient outcomes and satisfaction. The study was supported by Pfizer and Sanofi.
