Health system Mass General Brigham is partnering with AvoMD to help rapid response teams identify patients at risk of fatal respiratory or cardiac arrest outside of the ICU. AvoMD converts guidelines into digital tools for integration into the clinical workflow. Nurses can receive notifications on the best next steps based on hospital protocols when they encounter patients with abnormalities. The Avo Point of Care App and Avo tab are available in the EHR for clinicians to access patient-specific guidance quickly. AvoMD’s tools aim to reduce clinician burnout by automating tasks throughout the clinical journey. The impact of the partnership will be evaluated by the Healthcare Transformation Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital. AI technologies, like AvoMD, are playing a crucial role in improving workflow efficiency and care quality in healthcare.
