Can Refined Carbs Affect Your Looks? Chronic Consumption Linked To Reduced Facial Attractiveness: Study

admin

A new study suggests that chronic consumption of refined carbohydrates, such as white flour and table sugar, may reduce facial attractiveness in both men and women. The Western diet rich in these carbs is associated with health issues like obesity and diabetes. Researchers from the University of Montpellier studied 104 French adults and found that a high-glycemic breakfast led to lower facial attractiveness ratings. Chronic consumption of refined carbs during breakfast and snacks also affected attractiveness. Men and women showed differences in the impact of carbohydrate intake on attractiveness. The study highlights the importance of dietary choices on both health and social outcomes like attractiveness.
