Robitussin Cough Syrups Recalled Due To Microbial Contamination

admin

Haleon, the manufacturer of Robitussin cough syrup, has recalled two varieties due to microbial contamination that could be life-threatening for immunocompromised individuals. The affected products are eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult, with expiration dates between May 2025 and June 2026. The company has not received any reports of adverse events related to the recalled products, but consumers are being asked to stop using them and contact their physician if they experience any problems. The contamination was reportedly due to elevated levels of yeast, and the manufacturer is implementing corrective actions to prevent further occurrences. Consumers can report adverse reactions through the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
