OrthoPediatrics acquires Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics

OrthoPediatrics has acquired Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics, including their bracing, orthotic, and prosthetic technology. The acquisition closed on January 5, with OrthoPediatrics paying $22 million upfront. The company closed $80 million in debt financing to support the acquisition. CEO Dave Bailey expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that it will allow the company to support the entire continuum of care for pediatric orthopedic patients. General manager of Boston O&P, Tom Morrissey, shared this enthusiasm and highlighted their shared passion for taking care of kids. The acquisition is expected to improve the quality of pediatric orthotic and prosthetic care.
