admin

A survey by Artera shows that 45% of patients have missed medical bills due to communication issues with providers, and 43% said it affected their health. 59% would change doctors because of bad communication, and 77% find automated text exchanges valuable but too simplistic. 69% are frustrated with not being able to have conversational text exchanges with providers, and 81% had to call their provider to finish text conversations. Artera’s senior VP Meg Aranow recommends avoiding robotic text solutions and establishing a cross-functional governance committee to improve patient communication. The survey also found that repetitive messages, error messages, and out of order messages are common issues in patient communication.
