The new headquarters of Foundation Medicine is located in a 16-story building at 400 Summer St, Boston. The building features contemporary paintings by artists who have overcome homelessness or disabilities in the lobby. Employees can order lunches from local restaurants in the cafeteria, like barbecued pulled pork sandwiches from Pennypacker’s. The top floor offers a panoramic view of the Seaport District and downtown Boston. Around 800 out of 1,100 employees have already moved into the building, with the rest expected to arrive by early next year. The consolidation has been long-awaited and the company’s CEO, Dan Malarek, is particularly pleased with the move.
