Salvo Health, a digital gastrointestinal care startup, recently closed a $5 million Seed Prime round led by City Light Capital and Human Ventures. The company’s existing investors, including Torch Capital, Threshold Ventures, and Felicis Ventures, also participated in the round. Salvo Health offers a virtual clinic for chronic gastrointestinal and metabolic liver issues, providing wraparound care through a hybrid approach that combines local physician care with app-based support. The company will use the funds to scale its services to providers, including accountable care organizations and health systems. Other players in the virtual digestive care space include Vivante Health and Oshi Health.
