A new study published in the Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma and Leukemia journal validates a new tool called the Values and Preferences Elicitation Questionnaire ā Cure and Survival Preference Scale (VPEQ-CSPS) for identifying the values and preferences of patients with multiple myeloma (MM). The tool aims to incorporate patient values and preferences into MM treatment decisions and has been shown to meet the need for a patient-provider communication tool that can facilitate shared decision making and enhance patient-centered care. The study had 170 patients participate and the results showed high scores for the categories related to cure preference and trust in the medical institution.
