George Parks had a long and successful career in the medical field. After completing a fellowship at St Mark’s Hospital and the Royal London Hospital, he became a consultant surgeon at Armagh City and South Tyrone Hospital in 1970. In 1971, he took up a position as senior lecturer and consultant surgeon at the Royal Victoria and Belfast City hospitals. He was later promoted to reader and then professor of surgical oncology. Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to the field of surgery.
