Incompetence, or slavish deference to the legal profession

admin

A new survey from the Medical Protection Society (MPS) showed that medical justice is slow in Ireland, which is devastating for patients and doctors. The process costs twice as much as in the UK and takes longer than anywhere else in the world. A report shows that case time actually increased in the years up to 2022, taking five years to process some claims. Protocols introduced in 2015 to help resolve disputes early on still haven’t been put into effect. Learning from the UK, these protocols are already proven to be successful. The inefficiency in the Irish legal system is leading to higher costs and longer delays.
