WHO Axes Medical Aid Delivery to North Gaza in Absence Of Security Guarantees

The World Health Organization (WHO) had to cancel a mission to deliver medical supplies to northern Gaza due to a lack of security guarantees, marking the fourth time since December that their efforts have been thwarted by logistical challenges and ongoing violence in the region. Heavy bombardment, movement restrictions, and disrupted communications have made it difficult to provide essential medical supplies to hospitals in the area. The WHO Director-General expressed concern about the health needs and devastation in northern Gaza and warned that further delays would lead to more suffering. Additionally, other aid organizations have also been forced to withdraw due to increasing Israeli military activity.
