WHO announces committee for guidance on adult trans health

The World Health Organization has assembled a committee of 21 members, including doctors, transgender rights leaders, trans individuals, and a human rights lawyer, to develop a new guideline on the health of trans and gender diverse adults. The majority of the members were announced in June 2023, with seven additional members added in December. The committee’s diverse composition aims to ensure that the guideline will be comprehensive and inclusive of the needs and experiences of trans and gender diverse individuals from around the world.
