AWS to Infuse Another $20M Into Its Health Equity Program

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is adding $20 million to its health equity initiative, bringing its total investment to $60 million. The program aims to address health disparities highlighted by the pandemic. AWS has already distributed more than $30 million to 28 countries and partnered with 230 organizations. Their priorities include increasing access to quality health services, promoting resilient communities, and mitigating the impact of climate change on health. They are working with organizations like Touch Foundation and Hurone AI to improve maternal and child health and cancer care in Africa. They also partner with RefAid to connect displaced people with resources and Halcyon to address the harmful effects of climate change.
