Affordable care act sees record number of Americans signing up

The Biden administration announced that 20 million Americans have signed up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. This is 8 million more people than when Biden took office. The latest enrollment figures show a quarter more Americans have signed up for coverage compared with last year. This year, Democrats rolled out tax breaks and hired navigators to help people enroll. However, increased enrollment figures may include some of the 14.5 million Americans recently removed from Medicaid. States began removing millions from Medicaid last year. Open enrollment for health insurance plans ends on Jan. 16, but people removed from Medicaid may be eligible to enroll through the end of July.
