Some concerns have been raised about AI systems, including a potential increase in false-positive signals, distraction, and prolonged procedure times. AI also appears to benefit less experienced endoscopists more than experienced ones, although improvements in algorithms may lead to better accuracy for all users. Overall, the future of AI in colonoscopy remains promising, with ongoing research focusing on lesion characterization and quality improvement.
