Addition of Metronidazole to Cefazolin Reduces Surgical Site Infections risk in Gynecologic Surgery, finds study

A study has found that adding metronidazole to cefazolin reduces the risk of surgical site infections in gynecologic surgery. By combining these two antibiotics, the study showed a decrease in postoperative infections.
