The My Gynaecology Patient Passport has been launched by an Irish hospital, St James’s Hospital, for patients with gynaecological cancer. The passport, filled in by patients and clinicians at Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute, includes important information and resources related to the patient’s diagnosis and care plan. It aims to empower patients, improve communication between healthcare teams, and help patients better understand and share information with family or other healthcare practitioners. The passport has been developed with input from patients and addresses concerns related to exercise, diet, and sexual wellness. Funding for the project was provided by the Crosby family in memory of their daughter, Niamh, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2016.
