Astellas organized a panel of ophthalmic companies to explore how AI can benefit research on geographic atrophy. Bakalash emphasized the need for collaboration in finding solutions for this disease and highlighted Astellas’ plans for the global launch of Izervay. Bakalash serves as the global medical affairs head for Astellas Ophthalmics.
