The award, presented at Dublin’s Mansion House, recognized Prof McCarron’s dedication to including the patient voice in her work. The funding for her research came from the HRCI/HRB Joint Funding Scheme, with support from The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. The award was presented by Ann Twomey, a vocal advocate for carers of people living with dementia.
