The condition can impact essential abilities and mental health, and current treatments like medications or surgery can have undesirable side effects. Cala’s device delivers transcutaneous afferent patterned stimulation therapy to relieve tremors through the nerves on the wrist, with 9 out of 10 patients experiencing tremor reduction. Cala has no direct competitors in the noninvasive neurostimulation device market and is developing solutions for other indications. Medicare, the VA, and commercial plans cover the therapy.
