The goal is to reduce unnecessary imaging and streamline referrals for orthopaedic care, which is under pressure. However, some patients feel unheard without imaging and may continue to seek care, leading to costs for the healthcare system. GPs, as the main providers of longitudinal care for these patients, understand the importance of individualized treatment and may find the change challenging in managing chronic pain symptoms effectively.
