Laurie H. Glimcher, CEO of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, will step down next month after an eight-year tenure marked by a split with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a partnership with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center to build a cancer center. Benjamin L. Ebert, a renowned researcher, will take over as CEO on October 1. In his current role, Ebert oversees half of Dana-Farber’s faculty and research laboratories. Glimcher, an esteemed immunologist, will remain at Dana-Farber to continue her work in the lab and mentor the institute’s physicians and scientists.
