Providence launches digital health company Praia Health with $20M

Providence has launched Praia Health, a consumer platform for healthcare systems, following a successful $20 million Series A investment round. Frist Cressey Ventures led the round, with support from other investors. Praia Health offers a low-code ecosystem to integrate third-party consumer offerings into a health system’s digital experience. The company manages data exchange between electronic medical record platforms and digital health solutions. Praia Health has seventeen digital health partners in its ecosystem and is the fourth technology incubated by Providence Digital Innovation Group. This development reflects the trend of healthcare systems launching spin-outs to expand the digital health ecosystem, such as Mount Sinai Health’s Sema4 and Boston Children’s Hospital’s Mightier.
