Neville Rowell was a prominent figure in the field of dermatology, born and educated in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he worked at the Royal Victoria Infirmary before moving to Leeds. After obtaining membership in the Royal Colleges of Physicians, he became a consultant in 1961 and eventually headed the department in 1973. Neville worked tirelessly to expand and improve the dermatology department, receiving a personal chair in 1988. He retired in 1990 after a successful career in the medical field.
