Voters in Arizona, Missouri, and Nevada passed protections for abortion rights in their state constitutions on Election Day. Despite this, many who supported these measures also voted for Donald Trump. The data from the VoteCast survey showed that the economy and healthcare were more important to voters than abortion rights. Trump’s supporters who backed abortion rights may have believed he wouldn’t support a national ban. The survey also found that women were more supportive of abortion rights than men and believed Harris was better able to handle healthcare. High healthcare costs were a major concern for voters across all states.
