Climate change has led to an increase in health issues such as dengue, malaria, heat waves, and pollution-related illnesses in Europe. However, European medical curricula do not adequately cover the link between climate and health. The European Network on Climate and Health Education (ENCHE) aims to address this gap by providing medical students with comprehensive education on climate change and its impact on health. ENCHE plans to train at least 10,000 medical students across Europe and promote sustainable practices within healthcare systems. This initiative is crucial as the health sector is a key contributor to the climate crisis. Collaborating through ENCHE will allow medical schools to share best practices and develop teaching practices on climate and health together.
