SCAN Health Plan and Astrana Health are partnering to launch a Medicare Advantage plan called SCAN Allied tailored specifically to the Asian older adult population. The plan will launch in 2025 in California’s Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties, with plans to expand in the future. SCAN Allied members will have access to culturally competent providers, specialists, and pharmacies through Astrana Health’s network. The plan includes $0 premiums, unlimited acupuncture, and flexible allowances for dental, grocery, and fitness. This initiative follows previous population-specific health plans created by SCAN, including plans for women and LGBTQ+ older adults.
