Dialysis Patient Citizens has introduced a new kidney disease training curriculum for community health workers, aiming to educate them on managing kidney disease and slowing its progression. The program includes online modules and in-person training sessions, with key partners such as the Illinois Public Health Association and the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois. The goal is to empower individuals to care for their health, learn about treatment options, and provide support to loved ones. The training curriculum will be open from July 22 to August 16, concluding with a session at the IPHA Community Health Worker Summit in Springfield, Illinois on August 21.
