The senior officers at the Royal College of Physicians have called for President Sarah Clarke to resign due to a lack of confidence in her leadership regarding physician associates (PAs). Over 80 members have expressed their dissatisfaction with the college’s inaction on the matter. While recognizing Clarke’s efforts, the officers feel that she has lost the confidence of the membership. They have asked her to resign to give the college a fresh start during this critical time for the profession. Clarke met with the officers on 9 June, but they remain concerned about her ability to lead effectively.
