A study conducted in England by Milena Falcaro and colleagues sought to evaluate the effectiveness of the HPV vaccination program in reducing the incidence of cervical cancer and CIN3 using 12 additional months of data. The study found that the vaccination program was highly effective in reducing cervical cancer and CIN3 across all levels of socioeconomic deprivation. The program prevented an estimated 687 cervical cancers and 23,192 CIN3 cases by mid-2020. The results indicated that the vaccination program helped level out cervical cancer rates across different levels of deprivation. This study highlights the importance of public health interventions in reducing health inequalities.
