A recent study published in JAMA Network highlights the benefits of aerobic exercise in reducing weight and body fat. The study, which involved nearly 7,000 adults with overweight or obesity, found that aerobic training for at least 150 minutes per week can lead to significant weight loss. The study also noted that those who exercised at moderate to vigorous intensities for 300 minutes a week experienced steady weight loss. Dr. Ahmad Jayedi, the first author of the study, emphasized the importance of making small changes in daily routines to incorporate more physical activity. He also stressed the benefits of aerobic activities like walking and running in achieving weight loss goals.
