About 25% of adults over 65 face mental health challenges like depression and anxiety, with 63% not receiving adequate care. Vitalic, a geriatric behavioral health platform, has launched with $4 million in seed funding to address this issue. The startup works with payers to identify high-cost members with mental health conditions and provide them with an eight to 12-week model of care. The goal is to engage aging adults who may not seek out mental health services on their own. With the aging population expected to grow, Vitalic aims to provide specialized and proactive mental health support for seniors.
