Research suggests that certain jobs, such as taxi and ambulance drivers, may reduce the risk of death from Alzheimer’s disease due to the cognitive demands of constant navigation. The study examined nearly 9 million people across 443 professions, finding that only a small percentage of drivers died from Alzheimer’s compared to other occupations. However, researchers caution that further studies are needed to confirm this relationship. Experts believe that building brain resilience could potentially lower the risk of Alzheimer’s, although selection bias and age differences in the study group may also play a role in the findings.
