The hospital’s director, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, has stated they have been instructed to evacuate. Israel Defence Forces deny any knowledge of an evacuation order. Dr. Abu Safiya expressed concerns about the safety of nearly 400 patients if an evacuation were to occur. The closure of Kamal Adwan Hospital further exacerbates the healthcare crisis in the region.
