A study found that children and adolescents with multiple sclerosis (MS) exhibit various symptoms and diagnoses within five years before their diagnosis. The study included 1,091 pediatric MS patients and compared them to controls without MS or with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Children with MS were more likely to have certain health issues such as obesity, visual disturbances, and skin sensation disturbances in the years leading up to their MS diagnosis. This study sheds light on the early symptoms of MS in young individuals and provides valuable insights for medical professionals.
