Hospital for Special Surgery has named Daphne A. Scott, MD, as the new chief of its primary sports medicine service, effective December 1. Scott succeeds John P. DiFiori, MD, who has held the position since 2018. Scott is a practicing sports medicine physician at the Women’s Sports Medicine Center at HSS and the head team physician for the New York Knicks. She completed her medical training at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and has extensive experience in sports medicine. In her new role, Scott will oversee 25 providers across 14 locations and is committed to providing exceptional care to patients.
