One study explored the risk of hypocalcaemia associated with denosumab injections for osteoporosis, particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease. Another study looked at the effectiveness of tirzepatide, a GLP-1 and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide agonist, in treating heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. Subsequent analysis found that tirzepatide may reduce chronic systemic inflammation and blood volume in obese patients with heart failure. Additionally, a meta-analysis found rapid correction of severe hyponatraemia to be associated with fewer in-hospital deaths. Finally, three trials on middle meningeal artery ablation for chronic subdural haematoma found inconclusive results on its effectiveness.
