The fourth annual health hackathon, organized by TU Dublin in collaboration with Tallaght University Hospital and supported by Amazon Web Services, saw a record demand from students to attend, resulting in a waiting list. A total of 78 students participated in teams to develop tech-based solutions for challenges related to patient well-being, such as monitoring home treatments, medical device education, recognizing sepsis, preventing pressure ulcers, and wayfinding. Winners were awarded for innovative solutions, use of technology, patient benefit, and overall success. The event was praised for the high quality and diversity of submissions, showcasing innovative solutions that could potentially transform healthcare practices.
