The Mercy University Hospital has introduced a new Critical Care Transport Trolley to safely transfer critically ill patients. The trolley, funded by the Mercy University Hospital Foundation, cost €59,214 and can adapt to different patient needs. This trolley will improve emergency transfers of critically ill patients to specialist centers, both locally and nationally, coordinating with the National Ambulance Service. Eoin Cahill, CNM3 Critical Care, highlighted the importance of quick transfers for critically ill patients. The Foundation’s Head of Fundraising, Deirdre Finn, emphasized their commitment to investing in the latest technology for patient care.
