Public opinion in Ireland supports a less restrictive approach to data protection, with a majority willing to share health information for research. Cancer Trials Ireland and the Irish Cancer Society are calling for a national body to define healthcare guidelines to streamline the process and attract more clinical trial sponsors to Ireland.
