Recent research from the INTERSTROKE project has found that frequent consumption of carbonated beverages, fruit juices, and excessive coffee can increase the risk of stroke. Drinking fizzy drinks raises the risk of stroke by 22%, while fruit juice drinks raise it by 37%. On the other hand, drinking tea can reduce the risk of stroke, with black tea reducing it by 29% and green tea by 27%. The study also emphasizes the importance of choosing water as a healthier option to quench thirst. Making healthy choices in diet and physical activity can help reduce the risk of stroke, according to the researchers.
