The US National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced winners of the 2024 RADx® Tech maternal health challenge, focusing on mobile technology to improve health outcomes for new mothers. The collaboration between leading postpartum health research teams resulted in innovative gadgets for cardiovascular monitoring and home testing diagnostics, with the aim of reducing maternal mortality rates. The challenge awarded $8 million in prizes to develop wearable tech for women in remote areas with limited access to maternity care.
