Bruker Corporation has introduced the OptoVolt module for their Ultima multiphoton microscope, allowing researchers to image millisecond neural events with single neuron resolution. This technology enables imaging speeds of over 1000 frames per second, capturing cell-to-cell neural communication dynamics. The module addresses the challenges of voltage imaging by providing high-speed scanning technology and a high signal-to-noise ratio. Combining OptoVolt with the NeuraLight 3D Ultra spatial light modulator allows researchers to probe input-output relationships of neural ensembles at unprecedented temporal and spatial resolutions. The technology integrates seamlessly with the Ultima 2Pplus platform, enabling flexible adjustments between speed and signal intensity for comprehensive functional mapping of neural circuits.
