Highlander consists of two branches: Highlander Health Partners, an investment arm for middle-market companies, and Highlander Health Institute, a platform providing grants for clinical research. The institute will fund projects focusing on data transformation and collaboration between researchers, tech developers, regulators, clinicians, and investors. Projects will include turning EHR information into usable datasets for clinical trials. Funding for these projects will come from Abernethy, Hirsch, and Lyda Hill Philanthropies.
