The Medical Council has appointed Yvonne Clancy as Interim CEO to replace Leo Kearns, who served his last day as CEO. Clancy was chosen through a competitive internal selection process and will hold the position until a permanent CEO is hired. Dr. Suzanne Crowe, President of the Medical Council, welcomed the announcement and praised Kearns for his leadership. Kearns expressed his support for Clancy and highlighted the importance of the Medical Council in supporting doctors throughout their careers. Clancy has been with the Medical Council since November 2022 and has a background in organizational development. Kearns is leaving to pursue consulting opportunities.
