Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has opened a field hospital in Gaza to assist with the increasing numbers of Palestinians injured in the conflict with Israeli forces. The field hospital was opened prematurely due to the ongoing attacks and the pressure on the healthcare system in Gaza. MSF’s emergency coordinator stated that the dismantling of Gaza’s healthcare system by Israeli forces has a cumulative impact, increasing pressure on remaining health structures and decreasing access to healthcare for people in need. Without a ceasefire, providing true medical humanitarian aid is becoming increasingly difficult.
