A report by the World Health Organization highlights that tens of thousands of people in Gaza with life changing injuries are unable to access critical rehabilitation services and basic supplies like crutches and wheelchairs. Due to attacks on hospitals, evacuation orders, and a lack of staff, there is no access to inpatient rehabilitation services or limb and reconstruction surgical services in Gaza. Approximately 22,500 people urgently need these services to cope with injuries like limb loss, head and spinal cord injuries, and burns. The report emphasizes the devastating impact of the war in Gaza on traumatic injuries and the lack of available rehabilitation services.
