A study found that COVID-19 vaccination can lower the risk of heart attack and stroke by roughly 30% after the second and third doses, compared to a 10% reduction after the initial dose. The study analyzed data from 45.7 million people in the UK who received the vaccine and found that the incidence of arterial and venous thrombotic events was similar or lower after vaccination with Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Experts believe that the reduction in cardiovascular events is due to lower infection rates and recommend vaccination for those at high risk for heart attack and stroke.
