San Jose-based VSee Health and Ava Robotics have partnered to create an autonomous robot powered by VSee’s SaaS platform for a hospital ICU. This robot will allow remote physicians to deliver patient care and work with onsite staff, improving patient outcomes and reducing costs. This collaboration reflects a larger trend in robotics companies addressing staffing shortages in healthcare settings. For example, Diligent Robotics has developed the Moxi robot for clinical support tasks. Movia is exploring robots to help children with autism learn new skills. The HIMSS AI in Healthcare Forum in September will further explore advances in healthcare robotics.
